Yes, they were open before too but that journal was getting old and I wanted to make it more organized! (: So here are the types of things you can commission me for!
DRAWINGS!
Examples:
As you can see, I can do fun drawings for you in a style that's meant to emulate felt or construction paper! I specialize in G4 My Little Pony and I'm willing to do canon characters, as well as OCs! I may also be willing to do some other cartoons/video games in this style, at my discretion, so feel free to ask! But I'm always willing to do ponies!
Prices:
Simple pony drawing (such as the ones above): $5 per character
Complicated OC designs: Add +$1-5 depending on complexity
Simple background: +$3
For other requests, just ask and I'll price it for you!
I'll also consider art trades! I am pretty short on cash lately so I can't promise I'll accept a trade, but there's no harm in asking, since I do love to see fan art of my OC, Shiny Nickel!
BLANKETS!
Examples:
Fun fleece pony blankets with cutie marks! These blankets are both incredibly soft and incredibly warm. I have two myself and I love to cuddle up in them for naps or TV watching! The ponies I can make blankets out of depends on the colors/patterns of fabric I have available at the moment, but let me know what you're interested in and I'll see what I can do to make it for you! I can do any canon characters, background characters or even take a shot at OCs if that's what floats your boat! If you want something other than ponies, I can also try to accomodate. (A couple of my friends have asked for sports team themed blankets, for example.)
Prices:
$60 base price (plus shipping)
Most designs will fall into this base price. Depending on the character you want, it could be slightly more if I have to get special fabric or if they have a really complicated cutie mark.
I may also be willing to make blankets in trades for other pony crafts, like handmade clothes or plushies. Feel free to ask!

More commissions!

Now that I'm in my new apartment, my life feels a lot more settled and less crazy. That means, ponies! I'm getting started on my plushies, finally. Look out in my scraps for some WIP shots fairly soon. And now that I unpacked my camera, lots of pictures of things I've already made that are lying around my house. Also, commissions!
I'm still open for drawing commissions in this style: himynameisnickel.deviantart.co… with a base price of $10. (That one would be $15 seeing as it is two characters.)
I'm also starting to take commissions for MLP blankets such as this: fav.me/d52jot3 with a base price of $60 plus shipping. There is a lot of fabric in these babies so they're pricey to make! But they are just so warm and cuddly. They're made to order so I'm willing to try most characters, but there are some that might be a little more expensive and I do reserve the right to reject a character if I don't feel like I can do it. (It mostly has to do with complicated mane colors.) But I'm willing to work with you to make it look the way you want, including blankets based on OCs, if that suits your fancy. I take Paypal and would need to get paid at least half before I start so I could buy fabric and then the rest before I send it. (If it's an OC or a really obscure character I reserve the right to ask for all of it before I start.) Once I get to it, it should only take a day or two to make, but it depends on how busy I am.

Ambitious Plans

So I haven't done a whole lot in the way of cosplay recently, since I finished up Cpt. Reeds in January for Ohayocon. But recent events have inspired me to get started on a new costume to wear to Toronto Fan Expo in August and hopefully New York Comic Con in October. It is the most ambitious costume I've worked on yet and I'm very excited about it! I don't have too much done on it yet other than sketches, but... here's a hint.
So excited! Once I finish the move into my new apartment, I'll also have a chance to take some more pictures of some of the props I have lying around. I will be so glad to move. I haven't had a chance to start working on my plushies yet because my stuff is in so much disarray!

Well, first of all, the My Little Pony subreddit is having a big giveaway to celebrate the fact that we've hit the 30,000 member mark. That's a lot of bronies! So there's over a hundred awesome prizes being given away as part of the contest, which is totally awesome. Bronies are so generous! Including me, haha. I'll be giving away a pony art commission in the construction paper style as part of the giveaway! I guess they're taking entries until the 28th. But if you can't wait that long or you just want to cut to the chase and get a commission without the pesky "having to win" thing being held over your head, I've also decided to open commissions!
Check out the My Little Pony section of my gallery for examples of the style that the commissions will be in. If you're interested in an art trade instead, send me a note and we can talk about it. (It'll probably depend on what mood you catch me in. I like the idea of art trades but I really need to pay my rent.)
For now, I'm intending to charge between $15-25 for a commission, depending on the complexity of the character. I've never done commissions before so I'm not sure what is reasonable, but they do take a bit of time to do (and the aforementioned rent). So send me a note and I can give you a quote for a specific commission. I'm willing to do OCs and canon characters. If you want an OC, send me a good reference picture that I can work with. If you want a canon character, feel free to send a specific screenshot with the pose you want to be in, if you like. As of right now, commissions are just perpetually open, but if I get a lot of business I might have to close them and have a waiting list. We'll just have to see! I'm excited! I'm also trying to get into plushie making. I have some tests to run but if all goes well I will be offering plushie commissions as well!

A sad story

This is me, screwing up all my pony customs at 2 in the morning because I can't sleep. Eyes are hard.
They'll probably be alright. Derpy's eyes are weird but.... hey. I had to paint over one of Vinyl's eyes. This is annoying.
EDIT: The left side of Vinyl's face has a pinkish tint to it now. She'll live. Derpy, Vinyl and Nickel will probably be finished in the next few days. Unless I drop one of them in a big can of paint or something. ("Careful! You wouldn't want to do any more damage than you've already done.") The rest are on hiatus. I'm not painting anything bigger than eyes, cutie marks and touch ups right now because I'm about to move next week and they take forever to dry and I don't know how I'll transport them if they're sticky. Once I'm settled into my new apartment, I'll be working on Apple Bloom, Octavia, Dinky, Bonbon and Luna. Any other suggestions? For now I'm going to bed before I fuck up any more of my own art.
